The last scream is a scream that never dies out. The screen printing factory Le Dernier Cri from Marseille was started in 1992, almost 30 years later and the lights are still on in the workshop both night and day, paper spitting out of the machines, ink splatter, loud images crash and rip through the air.
Le Dernier Cri, run by the godfather Pakito Bolino, has published over 500 hand printed books and god knows how many prints, exhibitions, animations, apprentices… The influence of this underground institution can’t be overstated, staking out the territory for generation after generation of twisted, raw, deviant, bold, honest, weird, prodigy artists and printers. The exhibition will show a thoughtful chaos from the last thirty years of production.
