Happy-sad stone face in pastel for the second “Fijuk Marknad” art market in Kortedala, by Gothenburg based artist Ellen Macke Alström. FIJUK is a market place where publishers and audience meet without middlemen, a distribution point in a network of overambitious, obsessed image creators from all over the map where all roads lead to Kortedala (or to Belgrade, or to Rome, or to Mexico City). FIJUK was started as a network of micro-publishers, festivals and artists from the Balkans and Europe and has grown into an underground distribution chain with regular events for exchange of unique handmade stuff. Screenprint, risograph, offset, photocopies, micro publishing, fanzines, artist books, editions, originals, collaborations, do-it-yourself, paper, textile, ceramics, clothes, self-published, up-cycled, recycled. Over 30 exhibitors participated on this first Scandinavian Fijuk Market.
