Partizanka – Partizan print

Screen printed adaptation of an oil painting by Biljana Dimitriva’s mother figuring Biljana as a young pioneer girl. Printed in june 2022 during the residency of the art collective Partizan print from Skopje, Macedonia.

“For the shortest night we are stripping ourselves in the woods, bare naked – we admit everything. Our hands are always soaking wet from washing screens and our prints are drenched in color. Everything is becoming impossible but as long as we are living the alchemy of screen printing and there is light – the future may be printed.”
